SOME OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE + THINGS —
I care deeply for my relationship with Jesus and desire to give Him glory through the photos I take and the people that I meet. My husband and I love to serve in the church, alongside some of our best friends, learning about Jesus and sharing Him with those around us.
I love my husband Caleb — he is my best friend and is always encouraging me to chase my dreams, and has easily become my favorite person! I love that I get to do life by his side and I always say that if we live to be 100, it still wouldn't be enough time. I think that is why I love what I do so much. So many sweet couples are stepping into that forever and loving each other more and more everyday. That is so so special!
I love traveling to new places. I think that is also why I have so much fun photographing weddings. I get to see new places, meet new people and try new coffee shops and restaurants. Did I mention, I love coffee! My current favorite is probably an iced vanilla latte, half sweet with whole milk!
Well, kind of. She initially asked me to record her wedding ceremony with a camcorder and I had watched a couple of wedding films and thought, "I should see if she would be interested in having her whole day documented" And so, she said yes!
I officially booked a styled shoot at a stunning Minnesota venue in Cambridge called "Pinewood" where I really fell in love with photography. Prior to this, I maybe had 2 or 3 wedding films under my belt and wanted to see if photography excited me as much as video had and when I left that styled shoot, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Let me give you some context to that last sentence... You know how people always asked you when you were little. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" To be honest, I never knew how to answer that because I never knew what I wanted to be...until now! This felt just right.
I started to book clients for couples sessions, engagement photos and weddings!
In 2024, I had the honor of flying to Colorado to shoot a wedding in the beautiful Buena Vista! It was magical and I had so much fun exploring such a beautiful place.
The travel continues, we started a family and I am pursuing photography + videography full time!!! WHAT A DREAM. When it isn't wedding season, I am home with my baby. What an even bigger dream. So with that, thank you for even considering Vandy Studios to capture your special moments. Because people have trusted me to capture such precious moments, I get to be home and watch so many of my babies first moments. I often cannot believe that this is what I get to do! Photography, Videography, motherhood, being a wife...How special it is to be apart of people's most favorite days and document it all! Ahhhhh. It's so beautiful. This year, I have the opportunity to travel to Texas, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Illinois.
