Minnesota Wedding Venues that deserve the GOLD medal at the Olympics

Hi Vandy Fam and Happy Thursday!

Weekly Update: Welcome back to the blog, or if you are new here, hi! I am so happy that you are here. I started this little segment 2 weeks ago, where I share 3 little nuggets of my week with you before diving into the blog post!

  1. A new goal I have set for myself is to make and attempt Pain Au Chocolat (Homemade Chocolate Croissants) for the first time! There was a bakery in Texas that I absolutely LOVED and have been missing. Therefore, it is time to attempt this delectable baked good on my own. I will update you on how they turn out next week (:

  2. I had the opportunity to have a weekend off! Wedding season picks back up for me this weekend and will be go go go from here on out until the end of October, or so. It sure was nice to rest and relax at home, but I cannot wait for the weddings that are coming up in the next few months!

  3. Something fun that I did this week was get outside and play pickleball with my friend, Carly. Pickleball has been a newfound love of mine and I have truly been enjoying every second of it!

Now, let’s get to the blog post:

Today, we will be talking about Minnesota Wedding Venues that I think deserve the GOLD medal at the Olympics, in honor of the Olympics, of course!! Also, note that this is strictly my opinion, based on the wedding venues I have seen and been to. Just because I love it, doesn’t mean you have to, too. Now, let’s dive in!

  1. Ahavah Cottage I might be a bit biased on this being my favorite wedding venue in Minnesota because Caleb and I got married here, a little over a year ago, but it really is so special! I grew up loving to visit our cabin and this venue has a cozy cottage feel that made it so special when he came across the location online. With the log style build and the tall trees in the back, it sure felt like I was up north. This venue is located in Elysian, Minnesota, with a population of 744 people. Elysian was the cutest little town and just about an hour south of the twin cities, it made for an easy drive for our families as Caleb's came from Northern Minnesota and mine from Wisconsin.

  2. Catalyst by Nature Link I had the opportunity to second shoot for Chuck & Shiloh at this STUNNING venue and can I just say WOWWWWWWW! It is beautiful, glorious, splendid and amazing. This venue is located quite a bit north of the twin cities in Nisswa, Minnesota. Nisswa has a population of roughly 2,074 people and the venue is tucked back in the woods, making for a very private venue on Clark Lake.

  3. Pinewood I attended a styled shoot at Pinewood a couple of years ago. This venue is located in Cambridge, Minnesota, also north of the twin cities. After attending this styled shoot, I really started to take photography seriously, bought an LLC and began my photography career. I was exposed to the photography community and was truly inspired by everyone that was in attendance at the event, as well as the beauty of the venue. It was spacious and had so many beautiful photo opportunities.

  4. Willow Brooke Farm I had the opportunity to second shoot for Laura Banken at this venue and fell in love with it. This venue is located in Red Wing, Minnesota, just an hour southeast of the twin cities. From the adorable farm house for getting ready photos, to the beautiful white reception space, everywhere you looked was beautiful.

  5. Abella I have photographed and second shot a number of weddings here (Laura Banken & Madalyn Vermeer, I love photographing with the two of you!) and am ALWAYS excited when I get to return. This venue is located in Chisago City, Minnesota. The beautiful weeping willows tucked away at the far end of the property make for the SWEETEST ceremony spot. And the best part? You get to take a trolly to the ceremony spot!! How fun is that.

  6. Legacy Hill Farm YALLLLL! My sweet friend, Amanda, got married here almost a year ago and it was AMAZING! I was a bridesmaid, so I had the opportunity to explore the grounds a bit, as well as be in the bridal suite getting ready. It was so brightly lit everywhere and her photos were incredible! (special shoutout to Kay Collective.) My husband was a groomsmen in the wedding and I swear, the guys rarely left the men’s suite as they were all amused by sports on the TV. Basketball, UFC, Football, whatever it was, they were locked in.

  7. The Whim THE WHIM!! THE WHIM!! THE WHIM!! sooooo pretty and fun and lots of natural light. This venue is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The venue has windows EVERYWHERE, stunning brick and tall ceilings. The man cave is also a MUST when it comes to taking photos of the guys getting ready!

  8. Black Sand Beach/Palisade Head (Elopement) - This isn’t so much a wedding venue, but rather a wedding ceremony location, and a beautiful one at that! I attended a styled shoot here and fell in love with the area. If you are interested in a more intimate type wedding ceremony setting, this could be the perfect “venue” for you and you future spouse! I couldn’t find a website or person of contact to get in touch with. However, it looks to me as though you can call the city of Silver Bay, Minnesota, to get the information that you need!

That’s all from me, today! I hope you enjoy this blog post where I have the honor of sharing my favorite Minnesota wedding venues with you! Thank you for being here!!

Now, off to make my Pain Au Chocolat! Have a blessed week!
